Dr Naveen is an established GP who goes the extra mile to ensure the best health outcomes for her patients. Having worked in trauma and orthopaedics for many years, she also brings valuable experience from roles in Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, and Care of the Elderly. Combined with her many years in primary care, she offers a broad and compassionate approach to patient care. Dr Naveen also holds a Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health, with a strong interest in contraceptive and sexual health concerns, and has completed diplomas in aesthetic medicine. Haven Medical are thrilled to have her work with us.
Dr Newman has over 40 years of experience as an NHS GP, trained in the traditional approach to medicine—focusing on listening to patients, conducting thorough examinations, and formulating tailored diagnoses and treatment plans. He is passionate about continuing this personalised style of care in a private practice setting. With extensive experience in rheumatology and a particular interest in mental health, he takes pride in helping patients navigate complex conditions with compassion and expertise.

Yes. Haven Medical offers same-day private GP appointments whenever possible, allowing patients to access medical advice quickly without long waiting times. Our GPs are available Monday to Friday.
Appointments can be booked by calling the clinic, walking in to reception, or using the online booking system. To book an appointment we simply require your name and a contact method.
No. Patients do not need to register with Haven Medical to book a private GP appointment. Anyone can book an appointment with our doctors.
Yes. Our private GP service is available for patients of all ages, including children.
Yes. International visitors and patients who are not registered locally are welcome to book appointments, perfect for if you are travelling to the local area on holiday or for business.
During your consultation the doctor will take a detailed medical history, discuss your concerns and provide medical advice. If required, the GP can prescribe medication, arrange blood tests or diagnostics, or refer you to specialists or hospital services.
Yes. Our GPs can prescribe medication where appropriate. Prescriptions can be issued directly to you, sent to a pharmacy of your choice, or arranged for delivery to your home. You will need to pay for the cost of the medication itself.
Yes. Haven Medical has a range of specialist consultants working within the clinic including cardiology, gynaecology, ENT, dermatology, gastroenterology and mental health specialists. Our private GPs can make internal referrals, where appropriate. Our GPs are able to make referrals back into the NHS if needed (for instance if further investigations to rule out cancer are needed).
Yes. If further investigation is required, our doctors can refer patients to larger hospitals for imaging investigations such as MRI scans or other diagnostic procedures.
Yes. Our doctors can refer patients directly into NHS pathways when appropriate, including urgent fast-track or two-week-wait referrals.
If you wish, we can write to your NHS GP following your consultation so your appointment can form part of your medical history. Patients may also choose to keep their consultation private.
Our doctors can arrange a wide range of blood tests and diagnostic investigations during your appointment. These tests can assess areas such as general health, hormones, nutrition, allergies, heart health and specialist disease markers.
Yes. Haven Medical offers access to advanced screening tests including the Stockholm3 prostate test, genetic testing such as BRCA gene analysis, and liquid biopsy cancer screening such as TruCheck designed to support earlier detection.
Yes. Patients can access comprehensive health screening programmes including advanced wellness checks and advanced heart health assessments. These may include investigations arranged by our GPs as well as assessments with consultant cardiologists. Wearable heart monitoring devices can also be fitted and reviewed to assess heart rhythm over time.
Yes. Haven Medical offers a doctor-led weight management service using GLP-1 medications where appropriate. Patients are assessed by a GP who reviews their medical history and provides ongoing monitoring to support safe and effective weight loss.
Yes. Haven Medical provides a supportive environment for children and families. For procedures such as vaccinations or blood tests, our doctors can apply a local anaesthetic numbing gel to make procedures more comfortable. The clinic also has both a practice nurse and a paediatric nurse to support patient care.
